GOAPI - Applied Optics and Image Processing Research Group

The Applied Optics and Image Processing Group is a cross-functional group and consists of staff members from various departments of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), led by researchers from the UPC's Optics and Optometry Department.
 

The GOAPI group carries out research lines related to applications in visible optics, extended to near infrared and ultra violet spectral bands. The area subjects are related to: imaging, vision, color and laser processing. It covers a wide variety of applications in the fields of computer vision, automated inspection, image analysis and processing, shape recognition, visual and optics quality, medical imaging, instrument development and measuring techniques, photometry, colorimetry, digital color, laser irradiated materials processing, laser marking, waveguides, etc.
