GRCUV - Vision University Center Research Group

The main objectives of the Vision University Centre (CUV) are:

1. To be a benchmark in research areas related to the vision sciences: optics, clinical optometry, applied contactology and microbiology, ophthalmology and molecular biology. To offer, in turn, a technological platform to support research and the participation of the most innovative business groups in joint projects.

2. To provide an infrastructure to strengthen and encourage the integration of teams and research lines, in order to foster collaboration with the doctorate program in optical engineering researchers, which has been awarded a "quality distinction" by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science.

3. To promote outcome and knowledge transfer in order to apply them in clinical care.

4. To collaborate with the research, development and innovation departments of the main companies that work in the field of optics, clinical optometry, applied contactology and microbiology, ophthalmology and molecular biology.

5. To provide a platform to enable the completion of the doctorate programs at the Optics and Optometry Department.
